This script-fu script is a deeply modified version of the comic-book1 script by barky. While that script works well for web resolution images, higher res images need a larger cell size to keep the correct look and feel.
The plugin-interactions have been left in a active state to allow the user to fine tune the effect based on resolution.
This script uses the following default plugins:
hue-saturation
posterize
unsharp mask
newsprint.

This consists of two scripts, one to multifill, and one to flatten.
Multifill takes every background coloured space (selectable) and will fill them with sequential palette entries, or randomly. read more »
The G'MIC plug-in for GIMP proposes a set of various filters to apply on your images, including artistic effects, image denoising and enhancement algorithms, 3D renderers, etc.. It is a quite large plug-in, integrating a lot of different effects.
