Hi
I discover Gimp with Linux-Ubuntu (and I am a new user to of linux... o_O)
How to install the comic filter (1 and 2??) with linux-Ubuntu?
Thanks...!
All script filters go in your c:\program files\gimp 2.0\share\gimp\2.0\scripts folder. They have to be *.scm files.
If you use notepad to open these files and save them, make sure you save them under "all files" type, and type .scm after the name of the file. Otherwise it will save as a *.txt file and will not work.
You do not even need to know:
place your plugin in a new folder where you like
Start Gimp enter in Edit/preferences/folder/plugin and using the search button there (look as "..." 3 points) add the path for your plugin folder
Almost the same for script ( Edit/preferences/folder/script) brush , pattern and so on
NOTE The message below mine give wrong information, that is a folder for script not for plugin
sorry the path below is correct because this on this page is a script.
But you asked for plugin, that go in a different place, place may be chosen from Gimp Edit/preferences/folder/script
Going there you may even see the 2 folders used by default
I'm not familiar with scripting yet. Any way you could add a dialog to set some parameters, like the newsprint cell size? I'd like to use this effect on some high-res images to print and it would look better with a larger cell size.
