FX-Foundry/Color/Separate Luminance...
Creates two new layers: one containing the Luminance, and the other the Chroma information in the form of a Grain Merge. Optionally, it will color-enhance (maximize saturation in) the Chroma layer while still keeping it luminance-neutral.
This allows you to do noise-reduction and sharpening on the two layers separately.
This is an automagic copy of Sepia Toning tutorial www.gimp.org/tutorials/Sepia_Toning/ by Eric R. Jeschke.
This is just an update for Gimp 2.6 of wariats Sepia Toning 0.3
Takes a while to run, but really brings out textures.
Creates new layer, "Base", from visible and desaturates it using luminance. Then creates "Min" and "Max" layers which show local minimum and maximum values, respectively. From these, it creates a "Contrast Enhanced" layer as (Base-Min)/(Max-Min).
It leaves the Min and Max layers for you to look at, and the Base layer, because you'll probably want to blend the Contrast Enhanced layer back down to it.
Bug: I'm getting anomalous patches of white in the Min layer on some images. read more »

The script removes the blue/purple fringe found in digital camera pictures.
This script came out of necessity, when laborious and tedious work for fixing a large set of images became too much! read more »
L*C*h (L*a*b* in polar coordinates) color selector module.
Just type "make install" to install this module (You don't need to rebuild the GIMP.) .

This is my alternative for 'To slice and merge images' (see http://registry.gimp.org/node/14953).
If you haver use this script; download too http://registry.gimp.org/node/60
Two script for:
